Philadelphia 9/11 Memorial

Philadelphia, PA

Our firm was commissioned to design a setting for a piece of the steel salvage from the remains of the World Trade Center. To subtly represent the chaos and turbulence of the day, the design team envisioned a tilted granite volume that would hold the steel at a slight angle. The granite base is highly reflective and inscribed to memorialize victims from the Philadelphia area.
